Because The Family Action Council of Tennessee recognizes the importance of the state legislature to the well-being of Tennesseans, we are making available to our statewide constituency and voters in your district information that will help them vote consistent with their values in November’s statewide general election.
Accordingly, you will see in the bulleted list below, the cover letter to you; a 13-question candidate survey for the office you are seeking, which will become your district’s Voter Guide; and a five-question essay-style survey of General Questions (optional).
We would appreciate it if you would take a few minutes to read the instructions on the cover letter, print off and review the survey documents, fill in your answers to the survey questions, and return the surveys via email as a PDF or U.S. mail, as directed on the questionnaire, or by fax (full instructions are in the cover letter) by Friday, September 12th.
For those candidates who complete the Voter Guide questionnaire, we will also post on our website your answers to the enclosed essay-style general questions, should you choose to return them. You are not required to complete the general questions in order to have your questionnaire answers made available to your constituents.
Please be sure to follow the directions carefully, being particularly sure to sign and date your survey and narrative answers. Without this information, we cannot include your answers in our guide. Please read the questions carefully and note that no answers will be changed once a candidate has submitted his or her materials.
If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us prior to submission. On behalf of The Family Action Council of Tennessee and our partners in this effort,we thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter.
Completed surveys will appear on our Voter Education Headquarters section.
