A Christmas Gift for Atheists, Too. (November 28, 2012)
Every Christmas it seems there are more stories of atheists who just can’t stand the traditional ways Americans celebrate Christmas.
Last week in Arkansas, local atheists were quick to protest on behalf of a parent who was offended that her child’s school was offering a voluntary field trip to see a stage production of “A Charlie Brown Christmas”
And in Santa Monica California, atheists have caused so much trouble over displays of nativity scenes in a city park that the city has decided ban all such displays in public places.
It’s important for Christians to not be intimidated by atheist attacks on Christmas and to make sure that the message of Christmas, God’s gift of a savior to a lost world, is not driven from the public square.
After all, this Christmas gift is for atheists, as well.
