A Good Legislative Session (May 30, 2012)
The 2012 session of the Tennessee General Assembly is over now, but looking back over the session, it can be difficult to gauge the effectiveness of the pro-family work that we do here at FACT, so sometimes it’s helpful to see things through the lens of the people who are opposing our efforts.
Recently the ACLU of Tennessee sent out an email to its constituents lamenting the fact that the results of the legislative session were not “pretty”, which means, from our perspective, that it was very pretty indeed!
We fought for and won some important victories in support of the family and religious liberty. And the ACLU’s counter political agenda was defeated, and that’s a good thing for Tennessee families.
