General Mills vs. The Marriage Amendment (June 27, 2012)
Pro-family activists in Minnesota have worked for years to amend their state constitution to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman, and now the Minnesota Marriage Amendment is on the ballot this November.
But last week, Minnesota based General Mills, the makers of Cheerios, said the company stands for same-sex marriage and against the marriage amendment. Now, supporters of the amendment are calling on Minnesotans to “dump General Mills.”
What do you think about it? Should corporations stay neutral on same-sex marriage? Will General Mills decision to oppose the marriage amendment in Minnesota affect your buying decisions at the grocery store?
